Enjoy competitions responsibly and only spend what you can comfortably afford. We provide a range of tools to help you stay in control and manage your account whenever you need to.
Play Limits & Controls
Every new Essential Comps account has a default monthly spending limit of £100.
You can reduce or increase this limit at any time from the Play Limits & Controls section of your account.
- Decreases take effect immediately.
- Increases take effect after a 24-hour cooling-off period.
Individual competitions may also have entry limits, which are shown on each competition page.
Take a Break
f you’d like to take a break from competitions, you can pause your account from the Play Limits & Controls section of your account.
You can pause your account for:
• 1 week
• 1 month
• 3 months
• 6 months
• 12 months
While your account is paused, you won’t be able to purchase competition entries.
Once a Time Out has been activated, it cannot be removed or shortened and will remain in place until the selected period has ended.
Close Your Account
If you no longer wish to use Essential Comps, you can request account closure from the Play Limits & Controls section of your account.
Once your request has been processed, your account will be closed. We’ll remove your personal information where appropriate while retaining any information we’re legally required to keep.
